Mexico is the 2nd largest country by size and population in Latin America. It is located south of the United States, with the Gulf of Mexico to its east, and the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea to its west. Mexico has seven major seaports which provide tremendous trade opportunities by shipping oil and other materials to countries all over the world. However, Mexico's main trading partner is the United States because the two countries share a border, and can ship goods by railroad and trucks.
